Barangay Ginebra San Miguel is now only a win away from winning the PBA’s Governor’s Cup crown, it will be the team’s second back-to-back of winning the title if ever.

Ginebra won over Meralco in Game 5 in their best-of-seven game with a score of 115-110 at Smart Araneta Coliseum last Sunday.

Ginebra’s resident import Justin Brownlee had an excellent output with 40 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, and two blocks  that made the team seal their 3-2 series lead.

Meralco almost swept away the Game 5 victory in the final period as they got a one point lead with a score of 98-97, but Brownlee, Thompson, and Tenorio were able to clutch some shots that made Ginebra win.

The Game 6 on Wednesday will determine who will win the Governor’s Cup crown.
