The Los Angeles Lakers were eliminated from the 2022 playoffs after losing 121-110 to the no.1 seed Phoenix Suns.

That is their seventh consecutive loss, the game between San Antonio Spurs and Denver Nuggets, which they need the spurs to lose, and their matchup with New Orleans Pelicans could be their chance to qualify for the playoffs, but, the Spurs win, and they lost to the Pelicans, putting them out from qualifying to join the play-in games.

Assumptions of the Lakers being a “super-team” and having the “NBA’s most dominant trio” as they got former MVP, Russell Westbrook, on their squad have been shattered.

As Russell Westbrook continued on having the worst season of his career and due to injuries, LeBron James only played 56 games while Anthony Davis only played 40 games this season.

With that, the Lakers have a win-loss record of 33-49 and rank 11th in the Western Conference.
