Fourteen areas under alert level 1 are slowly increasing in Covid-19 cases. Health secretary Francisco Duque Said on President Duterte Rodrigo Duterte's "Talk to the people" briefing on April 18, Monday.

The Fourteen area were not enumerated by Duque, However, from April 12 to 18, he identified three regions with the most number of cases: Metro Manila (606 cases), Calabarzon (226 cases), Central Luzon (181 cases)

The top three cities with the most cases are Cavite City with 101 Cases, Manila with 92 cases and Quezon City with 82 cases.

According to Duque, this occurred despite a Department of Health (DOH) report indicating fewer occurrences from April 10 to 17 — a total of 1,674, giving a nationwide average of only 239 positive cases per day.

The DOH COVID-19 Tracker also revealed that just 170 new cases were registered on Monday, April 18 – much fewer than the previous week's average number of cases each day.
