Lucero, the lead scorer in UAAP Season 84 basketball tournament in the first round

Zavier Lucero, the University of the Philippines' player, emerged as the leading scorer during the first round of the UAAP Season 84 men's basketball tournament.

 

Lucero averaged 15.29 points per game in seven games, with a 71.7 percent two-point shooting percentage and an 84.21 percent free-throw shooting percentage.

 

The Filipino-American swingman, 6 feet 6 inches tall, exploded for 27 points in UP's 83-76 triumph over Far Eastern University.

 

RJ Abarrientos from FEU, who had a season-high 33 points versus National University, was rated second with 14.86 points per game, while Adamson guard Jerom Lastimosa was third with 14.43 points per game.

 

Harvey Pagsanjan of the University of the East was No. 4 with 13.86 points per game, while Sherwin Concepcion of the University of Santo Tomas was No. 5 with 13.43 points per game to round out the first round's top five scorers.
