The San Miguel Beermen jumped over the Pioneer Pro Tibay last April 13 with the score of 21-17. The Beermen was led by Ken Bono who contributed 10 points for the team which led to yet another championship securing a grand prize of P100,000 last Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The vintage and classic gestures by Bono had played a flashback to his college years wherein he was awarded the Most Valuable Player in the UAAP as he plays for the Adamson Soaring Falcons at the time.

His teammates also showed a do-or-die performance for a clutch moment. Louie Vigil’s 5 points, James Mangahay’s 2 points and the injured Jeff Manday's 4 points became the foundation of the team as they once again win their second leg championship.
