The Department of Education has released memorandum No. 29, s. 2022, which states that all school personnel are required to attend onsite on areas under Alert Level 1.

This was then countered by the faculty of public teachers and the Alliance of Concerned Teachers claiming that the order of the Department of Education lacked democratic consultations and described the idea as too inconvenient for the working people.

The Department of Education responds to this by claiming “It’s for compliance” for Malacañangs Memorandum Circular No. 96 which states the same idea wherein all areas under Alert Level 1 are required to attend their jobs physically.

DepEd says that this is an opportunity for them to further study and explore on different ways of approach to understand and implement the proper mode of education using modules and online applications.
