The Creamline Cool Smashers have taken down PetroGazz by a sweep in the Game 2 of their best-of-three final series scoring 25-18, 15-25, 25-23, 25-16 on Friday, April 8 during the Philippine Volleyball League Open Conference Campaign.

The league was held at Ynares Center in Antipolo where around 7,000 volleyball fans rooted for their bets.

Their championship this year was said to be their redemption for the title following their meltdown last year after a close-match loss to Chery Tiggo.

"Phenom" Alyssa Valdez was crowned Finals MVP this season. "I'm very speechless... It's overwhelming, it's just so nice to have another memory here in Ynares winning the championship and with all these people for the first time again." Valdez when asked how she felt about their win.

Tots Carlos who scored 16 in the finals was crowned league MVP.

Indeed, Creamline's lineup has very much contributed to their amazing play. With the multi-time Best Setter Jia De Guzman and former MVP Jema Galanza, the team was brought to a vicious victory.

PetroGazz scored in 12-10 and committed fewer errors after sending in the team's bets Nicole Tiamzon, Myla Pablo, and Grethcel Soltones to help buoy the Angels as they improved on defense and had more attacks.

Creamline's Galanza and Carlos's attacks buried PetroGazz in a 20-10 score displaying their stunning offensive might.

The league ended in Creamline's third victory in the last four Open Conference titles.
